Hollywood's misunderstood terrorists

This article by Victor David Hanson reminds me of a really good movie with terrorists in it - remember True Lies?

I know, True Lies isn't exactly Lawrence of Arabia, but it is one of the last Hollywood flicks I remember in which terrorists are THE BAD GUYS and that they and their financial backers deserve to reach room temperature because they kill innocent people. It's the movie where THEY treat the women like crap, THEY are brutal and follow insane idealogy.

It's also the movie where we're allowed to cheer win Ahhnold shoots them or blows them up, without George Clooney, et all, looking down their noses at us. The worst thing is that the movie was actually criticized for making terrorists look bad!

So, if you are tempted to go and see the latest moral equivalency like Syriana, why not get a dose of a bonehead action film that is actually closer to reality? Go rent or purchase True Lies - I bet it is about eight bucks at Wal Mart.

And as a bonus, Jamie Lee Curtis dances in her underwear...
